for hockey, hockey now helps him keep up with his endurance in order to run at a longer distance. Every Sunday night, Wayne plays goalie for an hour and a half at Leddy Park. Being out on the ice for the entire length of the game, he notices a distinct difference in his endurance when he starts ramping up his marathon training.
Wayne’s goal for this year’s marathon is to push himself even further to beat his personal best time from two years ago of 1:55:23.
