If you're one of the many people who are aspiring to be a more complete runner by finishing a full marathon then look no further, we've assembled a comprehensive plan to help you get to your first marathon finish line. Training for and running your first marathon is daunting and we want to take all of the guesswork out of it for you. Sign up for our New2-26.2 Program and get to the start line healthy and ready to run and to the finish line with a smile on your face!

The Program Includes: M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon Registration Fee. One of a kind New2-26.2 Training Shirt. Customized Shoe Fit Session at SKIRACK Run Center. Access to SKIRACK Mizuno Pace Teams. The official New2-26.2 PUBVCM On-line Training Program. Weekly Training Tips and support from USATF Certified Coach Sam Davis.

How to Participate: Sign up by choosing New2-26.2 option at registration. There is no additional cost for the program for first time marathon runners registered for M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. If you are already registered for PUBVCM and would like to participate in the program e-mail Jess Cover at jess@runvermont.org.

Your Coach: Sam Davis Sam Davis has been running competitively for over 38 years. His accomplishments include being a collegiate cross country champion, as well as a former record holder in track. He is also a member of the RunVermont Hall of Fame. Sam has completed over 25 marathons (including four Vermont City Marathons) and countless half marathons with PR's of 2:32 and 1:08 respectively. Sam is a USA Track & Field Certified Level 2 Endurance Coach and provides consultation for runners of all ages and abilities."I believe that one size does not fit all when it comes to training. I strive to customize training programs to an individual's lifestyle and include factors such as running age, past injuries and long term goals.
