We hear from our runners time and time again that the volunteers and the community make this race special. Each year People’s United Bank gives awards for the most spirited neighborhood, aid station and volunteer. Those chosen for these three awards receive $500 to donate to the Vermont charity of their choice! Runners will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite neighborhood and aid station.  The volunteer will be chosen by RunVermont.

Lakewood Estates on Mile 19 has received the neighborhood award for the last 5 years – is there a neighborhood out there that will challenge them this year? Malia Paddling and Racing Club stole the show with their costumes as the most spirited aid station and we had our youngest volunteer in 2019.

All it takes is a lot of spirit, some creativity and a commitment to the community and making this event a success.  Look for more information coming out soon about how to vote.
